Many sound-reflecting surfaces (walls, floors, ceilings, windows) lead to high sound reflection in day-care centres and other places of educational work (according to DIN18041 and workplace guidelines). The maximum noise level and the maximum permissible reverberation time are exceeded by far.
Children and educators are exposed to too much noise. The consequences are stress, poor receptivity and rapid fatigue. Good room acoustics have a positive influence on the entire atmosphere in the building: they promote concentration, enable relaxed working, improved speech intelligibility, enjoyment of playing together and reduce the general stress level.
