A good working environment is crucial for the quality of daily work, but also for the health and well-being of employees. Many issues have to be taken into account, such as organisational and design aspects, but also ergonomic and acoustic aspects, to name but a few. The way we work and communicate is constantly changing. This has a direct influence on the design and equipment of the working environment. The modern office is far more than a place for concentrated work. Not least with the Corona pandemic, a renewal process was initiated and the view of the office as a place of communication, collaboration and contemplation was sharpened.

'Agile Working'

Initial situation

Workplaces in block arrangement enable a high density of workplaces and thus offer an efficient use of office space from an economic point of view. Communication is made much more difficult due to inadequate acoustic equipment and zoning, and on the other hand, concentrated work is hardly possible. ...

High workplace density
- Acoustically problematic

Open block position

In the case of this open block arrangement, equipping only with low table panels can quickly lead to a whole series of problems. Communication is made much more difficult due to insufficient acoustic equipment and zoning and, on the other hand, concentrated work is hardly possible.

Workstation linking and shielding with Mood Line magnet

The quality of acoustic conditions in open office spaces is the decisive measure of concentration and performance. Dividing and partially interrupting the block positions with the high-performance acoustic walls of the AOS Series Mood Line provides flexible acoustic and visual screening at the workplace.

Communication on the telephone or PC thus experiences a significant qualitative improvement while simultaneously reducing physical and mental stress (File 8AP 2.3)

Flexible, efficient
- Very good acoustic conditions

Room structuring and zoning with Prime Line

A good working environment is crucial for the quality of daily work, but also for the health and well-being of employees. Many issues must be taken into account, such as organisational and design aspects, but also ergonomic and acoustic aspects, to name but a few. The AOS Series Prime Line is a true all-rounder in this respect, highly sound-absorbent in wall construction and equipped with a multitude of functions.

The glass top panels that can be integrated into the system ensure a reduction in direct sound transmission without dividing the room too much visually. The visual axes remain intact and allow eye contact with colleagues while at the same time providing good acoustic shielding (file 12AP 2.1).

Clear lines, partially transparent
- Highly functional and acoustically optimised

Shielding and workplace design
with Mood Line Connect

Aesthetically sophisticated and with the best acoustic properties, Mood Line Connect provides the best framework conditions even in large open office spaces. The highly sound-absorbing wall structure of the fully upholstered and trapezoidal acoustic walls not only flatters our sense of hearing. Formal and haptic aspects underline and reinforce the positive perception and the feeling of security at the workplace.

Acoustic seating from the AOS Silence Point series blends harmoniously into the overall concept and offers retreat zones for informal meetings and presentations (File 12AP 2.2)

homely, elegant, full of character
- with the best acoustic conditions

Project workstations with Mood Line Connect
and AgilityWall Mood

Change determines the market. The two AOS lines Mood Line Connect and AgilityWall Mood offer agile structures in the office that can be (re)organised by the users themselves. The acoustic workstation concept shown here is very well suited for flexibly adjusting office furnishings to a wide variety of room and work situations. With the AgilityWall, numerous rooms and functional zones within an office can be easily defined and directly implemented simply by rolling, pulling, turning and sliding.

In addition to the highest acoustic qualities, the modular board system simultaneously offers a vertical work surface as a magnetic, pin or whiteboard, with removable organisational and shelving elements through to electrified monitor modules (File 10 AP 3.1)

Agile, highly aesthetic
and multi-functional

Dynamic working environment with Free Line, video/telephone booths and the AgilityWall

Adapting to permanently changing conditions, a new dynamic working environment determines the working style in many companies.
AOS offers a wide range of modules and series that can be combined to form holistic - and at the same time individual - solutions, which can be varied and just as easily adapted to new requirements.

The interplay of the flexible and mobile AOS Free Line and AgilityWall series with the video and telephone booths and the seating groups of the AOS Silence Point series is convincing (File 10AP 6.1)

React flexibly to new structures, tasks and circumstances
Acoustics

Room optimization

Room acoustics has become increasingly important in recent years. There are various factors that have a great influence on this matter. First of all the contemporary architecture since the beginning of the classic modernism of the 1930s and the construction physics trends in the 21st century. Furthermore, the high density of jobs, partly in combination with a non-territorial office concept, as well as the desire and the need for open and flexible workplace structures. Depending on the size and condition of the rooms and taking into account the specific type of use, it is important to create optimal acoustic conditions read more ...
